Defaults = East Texas State Fair 2025 actuals (104k attendance, ~7.5k rodeo seats, $12/$6 gate). Every ticket the fair sells settles 100% to the fair's own account at purchase (Stripe direct charges — no vendor float, no post-event wait). The fair pays Gathera nothing; the flat 99¢ is a transparent fee the fan chooses to pay for buying ahead on their phone, and it's waived entirely for cash at the gate.
Flat 99¢ vs a percentage — what a fan pays all-in
All-in cost to the fan — face + every fee + card processing — computed the same way for each (published rate cards & live checkouts, July 2026). Our service fee is a flat 99¢ that never grows with price, so across a $12 GA + a $125 VIP seat we come out lowest. The percentage incumbents (Etix, AXS, Saffire) cost a fan $6–$11 more on that pair; a low-cost flat bundler like TicketSpice lands within pennies. On a single cheap GA ticket the difference is negligible — the decisive win is the line above it: the fair keeps 100% and pays $0.
